The upcoming IT: Welcome to Derry, a prequel series to IT, has received its first teaser trailer. The trailer introduces new characters and shows a brief glimpse of Pennywise the Clown.

Director Andy Muschietti, who was behind IT and IT: Chapter Two, is directing and producing the series. It’s set in the 1960s and will introduce new characters, not talked about in either the film or the Stephen King book it was based upon. Although the lore has been established that Pennywise usually feeds and disappears for around 27 years before coming back to terrify the town of Derry once more.
