Breath of the Wild 2 News.png

In one of the most exciting announcements to come out of E3 2019, Nintendo confirmed a sequel to 2017’s Zelda: Breath of the Wild is in the works. Although don’t get too excited, we’d assume it’s still a couple of years away.

Although short, the trailer see’s Link and Zelda adventuring into an underground section of Hyrule Castle where it appears there is a mummified version of Ganondorf hiding and possibly waiting. This would make sense if the timeline of the game is the ‘Adult Timeline’ where Ganondorf was sealed away after the events of Ocarina of Time. But I’ll also admit my Zelda mythology isn’t that great and Nintendo isn’t that good at explaining it, so I could be wrong.

The most interesting thing is the idea of a co-op Zelda experience. With the tease of both Zelda and Link going on an adventure together in this teaser, it’s hard to get thinking about possibly being able to play as Zelda finally.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think and if you’re excited for the Breath of the Wild sequel.
