In news that is sure to elate all of the bisexuals, Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are set to return for a new Mummy film, according to THR, which is reporting that Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known as Radio Silence together, have signed on to direct the fourth film in the series.
Brendan Fraser starred in the trilogy of The Mummy films; however, Rachel Weisz didn’t return in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and was replaced by Maria Bello. Following that film, the series was rebooted with The Mummy (2017), which starred Tom Cruise.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett wouldn’t be new to revitalising 90s franchises, as they did just that across Scream (2022) and Scream 6. Their latest film was the fun and gory ride that is Abigail, which I would suggest checking out if you haven’t already.
