Cassian Andor Star Wars Series Announced

Another live-action Star Wars series is in development for Disney+, the streaming service coming soon and it’s centring on Cassian Andor.

As announced on the Star Wars blog, the series will follow Cassian Andor in the years prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story with Diego Luna returning in the role of Cassian.

Diego Luna is looking forward to jumping back into the character when production starts in 2019 stating:

“I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”

The series currently doesn’t have any more details, but it’s certainly exciting to see Disney putting a lot into their upcoming subscription service and I’m personally excited about the idea of a Cassian Andor lead series.
