Respawn Entertainment has revealed the latest addition to the Apex Legends games ahead of the upcoming season.
Catalyst, real name Tressa Smith, is introduced via a ‘Stories from the Outlands’ video, and she has a fascinating backstory. In the, as usual, very well-animated and told story video below, you meet Tressa and her group of friends, one in particular who wants to strike back at Hammond Robotics in a bit of eco-terrorism. Things go wrong, however, and Tressa becomes Catalyst.
Tressa/Catalyst is also the first transgender character in Apex Legends and is voiced by Meli Grant.
