Developer Izanagi Games has announced their next game will be Death Come True which is being written and directed by Danganronpa series creator, Kazutaka Kodaka. And although the newly announced game will be a murder-mystery like the manic-bear series he’s known for, it’ll be a Full-Motion-VIdeo (FMV).

The game will star Kanata Hongō who previously voiced Ryota Mitarai in Danganropa 3 and also has a list of Japanese TV and Movie roles under his belt including playing Armin in the live-action Attack on Titan movie.

The description for the game reads:

”Death Come True is the latest project from Kazutaka Kodaka, creator of the Danganronpa series. It combines movie and game elements, making it an “interactive movie” with a story that unfolds according to decisions made by the player which then can result in multiple different endings. Kanata Hongo takes the lead role as the main character and Chiaki Kuriyama acts the role of a female police investigator. Writing and game direction is by Kazutaka Kodaka, and the producer is Shinsuke Umeda, CEO of IzanagiGames. Information will also continue to be updated on the official website and Twitter.”

On the game’s website, the character description for Karaki Makoto says that he wakes up in a hotel with no memory but the TV he turns on tells him he’s being chased as a serial killer. The only other character description is for Sachimura Akane (being played by Chiaki Kuriyama) and it says she’s a Special Investigator who wakes up in the same hotel as Karaki.
