Developer of ‘Firewall: Zero Hour’ Offers Update On Upcoming Fixes

by Dylan Blight

First Contact Entertainment has released an update on what they’re working for Firewall: Zero Hour via the PS Blog.

The PSVR exclusive has been receiving a lot of love (including a lot from the Explosion Network.) With that said, the game isn’t without issues, but First Contact Entertainment have offered some updates.

Along with acknowledging issues the game has and making sure to note they are indeed listening to community feedback, First Contact Entertainment said this is what they are working on:

  • Setting up a squad with squadmates: We’re continuing to evaluate and improving squad handling. We are aware that players who join as squads are having issues with their lobbies, and we are working hard on a fix that addresses this.
  • Host performance: We currently use a peer-to-peer format, so please be aware that it is possible that quitting early may affect everyone else’s game. We are working on improved in-game messaging and a way to protect the loss of progression (Crypto and XP) for players when this happens.

They also noted they are working on post-launch content and will have more to share on that soon.

As someone who has played the game a lot, I’m more concerned with host performance than new maps or modes at the moment. But it’s nice to be constantly updated from developers with a game like Firewall: Zero Hour, especially if you’re part of the community supporting it at launch.

If you want to hear more about why we love Firewall: Zero Hour, we have talked about it on the previous two episodes of Platinum Explosion which you’ll find below.
