Duck Detective Developer Reveals New Mystery Thriller Apple Crumble

Happy Broccoli Games, the studio behind the Duck Detective series, has revealed its next game, which isn’t about a duck.

Announced during the Day of the Devs and then fully revealed at the Story Rich Showcase, Apple Crumble is a new interactive mystery thriller inspired by games like Mouthwashing and films such as Knives Out.

The premise, as is the case with the two Duck Detectives games, is relatively simple: it’s your grandmother’s 84th birthday party, somebody may be out to murder her, who’s to say, there are some shady guests at this party, talk to them.

Happy Broccoli have said that Apple Crumble is a short, “twist-filled mystery” designed to be finished in around 60 to 90 minutes.

Apple Crumble will release on PC in 2026.
