Announced somewhat out of the blue, Elden Ring is getting a free update, which will add a colosseum where players will be able to come to do battle and prove who’s the best.
Based on the trailer below, it’ll be a max of 3v3, but I’m not sure how you choose what team you’re on. There’s also going to be free-for-all fights which is going to be very messy.
“The Colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell and Caelid will open their gates, allowing players to engage in battles such as duels, free-for-alls and team fights.”
Adding a colosseum for players to fight isn’t super-surprising as it’s something that’s been talked about or rumoured for some time. But with this news getting pushed out a couple of days ahead of Friday’s The Game Awards, it does make me wonder if there will be the announcement of a more extensive Elden Ring expansion at the show.
