The film is written and directed by Frances O’Connor and stars Emma Mackey (of Sex Education fame) as Emily Brontë, the author of the classic literature Wuthering Heights.

At its premiere at the 2022 Toronto film festival, Emily received an overall positive reaction and hit a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
