The Xbox Games Showcase is usually terrible for Aussies at 3 AM AEST on Monday. Fortunately, there were plenty of world premiere trailers and exciting reveals to keep anyone engaged and watching.

New games like Super Meat Boy 3D are paired with deep dives on long-awaited releases like Clockwork Revolution, and of course, some surprises, like Double Fine finally having a new game released this year called Keeper. There are some big hitters in this showcase, too, like the end of the show teasing Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Here are all the trailers and news from the Xbox Games Showcase 2025.


The Outer Worlds 2

Play

The show started with a new trailer for The Outer Worlds 2, which showcased the combat and effectively highlighted the negative impact of capitalism on us all. There’s ‘The Outer Worlds 2 Direct’ coming after the Xbox Games Showcase as well, which dives deeper into the game.

The Outer Worlds 2 is launching on October 29.

High On Life 2

Play

The talking weapons game from Squanch Games gets a surprise sequel here.

High On Life 2 is set to release later this year.

Resonance: A Plague Legacy

Play

This is a prequel to the Plague Tale games that will feature no rats?

Resonance: A Plague Legacy is releasing in 2026.

ROG Xbox Ally

Play

After numerous rumours over the past few months, the handheld Xbox console has been officially revealed. It’s a Windows and Xbox Game Pass-compatible console designed in collaboration between Xbox and ASUS ROG. They also showcased a trailer for Hollow Knight: Silksong on the handheld, revealing it’d be available on day one. However, we don’t get a Silksong trailer or a release date in this showcase.

Blood of The Dawnwalker

A big trailer for Blood of the Dawnwalker showcased its vampire story and combat.

Super Meat Boy 3D

Play

Super Meat Boy is bringing its hardcore platforming to 3D in this new game, which looks to include everything fans loved in the original to a new perspective.

Ninja Gaiden 4

Play

A new trailer and a release date for Ninja Gaiden 4 are set to release on October 21.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle – Order of the Giants DLC

Play

Following its release in late 2024 and then recently coming to PlayStation, an announcement for a DLC for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle makes sense. It’ll be building upon the lore and legacy of ‘the giants’ from the main story.

Beast of Reincarnation

Play

Previously known as ‘Project Bloom,’ the big action game from Pokémon developer Game Freak has officially been revealed as Beast of Reincarnation.

Clockwork Revolution

Play

A big gameplay-focused trailer for Clockwork Revolution shows that the game is still being developed by inExile, and it looks very exciting. However, there is still no confirmed release date.

Grounded 2

Play

Somehow, Obsidian Games doesn’t have enough coming out this year between Avowed already, The Outer Worlds 2 in October; they’ve now added Grounded 2 in the middle, which will launch in Xbox Game Preview on July 29.

Cronos: The New Dawn

Bloober Team revealed a new trailer for Cronos: The New Dan, which continues to look very Dead Space-inspired to me.

Cronos: The New Dawn will be released later in 2025.

The Elder Scrolls Online

Here’s a trailer highlighting the world and fun you can have exploring Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls Online.

Aphelion

Play

The next game from Don’t Nod is Aphelion, where you’re playing as someone who has crash-landed on a planet and is searching for someone there.

There Are No Ghosts At The Grand

A lot is going on in this trailer, from music to rebuilding homes to then eldritch creatures and spooky creatures; there’s even sneaking around at night in the village and trying not to get caught.

Age of Mythology: Retold – Heavenly Spear

A story trailer for the upcoming expansion to Age of Mythology.

MUDANG: Two Hearts

This was an interesting trailer that showed you controlling different characters, one a spec-op-star, it seems, and the other, a K-pop star.

Fallout 76: Gone Fission

Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf

A gameplay trailer shows that Planet of Lana 2 will be more of the good stuff seen in the first game.

Solo Levelling: Arise Overdrive

This is an action RPG set in the universe of the anime, and you can play in a four-player co-op. It’s coming later this year.

Animo

A cute game that looks to be going for the same ‘Pokémon-like’ genre that Pal World has already tapped into.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4

The remake of the third and fourth Tony Hawk games continues to look like fantastic upgrades, and the trailer also introduces some exciting new features, such as the addition of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the DOOM Slayer. Plus, Bam Margera is in the game, so fans can relax about that finally.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 will launch on July 11.

At Fate’s End

Play

This is the next game from the developer behind Spirifarer and looks to be heavy on drama between siblings.

Gears of War: Reloaded

Play

The Gears of War remake is officially coming to PlayStation 5 as well as Xbox and PC, and there’s going to be cross-play and cross-progression.

Persona 4 Revival

Play

The rumoured Persona 4 remake has been confirmed with a very brief trailer.

Sea of Thieves – Season 17: Smugglers Tide

A trailer for the 17th Season update for Sea of Thieves.

Invincible VS

Play

A very bloody trailer has announced Invincible VS as a tag-team fighting game using the deep roster within the characters and universe of Robert Kirkman’s Invincible comic series.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

Finally coming to Xbox later this year.

Final Fantasy XVI

Play

A shadow drop for this show, Final Fantasy XVI, is out now on Xbox.

Keeper

Play

Double Fine has revealed a new game; it’s titled Keeper. You play as a lighthouse, and it’s releasing on October 17.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

The show’s final reveal was the unveiling of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, accompanied by a cinematic trailer and teasers of what’s to come. There was no release window at the end of this trial, so there may be no COD this year.
