Early this morning during the PC Gaming Showcase we finally got our first proper look at Mafia: Definitive Edition. The game is a full, ground-up, remake of the original Mafia game and it sounds like they’re doing as much as they can do modernize it while keeping what made the game special.
In a post-trailer discussion with developer Hangar 13’s president Haden Blackman, he discussed small and moderate changes the teams making to bring the game up to 2020 standards. These include some changes to the roads — removing all the 90-degree turns — to help make the extensive driving less of a pain. They’ve also updated some of the obviously out-dated character models, and although he said the game’s story is mostly unchanged, he did mention they’d updated some things.
