This year GCAP is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, and IGEA has revealed this year’s program, with the event returning to Melbourne in October as part of International Games Week.
Among this year’s speakers is Australian developer Gregory Louden, Creative Director at Housemarque, who recently directed Saros and previously served as Narrative and Cinematic Director on Returnal. His career also includes work on Remedy’s Quantum Break and Control.
Samantha Low, co-founder of the Southeast Asian Games Showcase, and Amanda Farough of Causeway Studios and Strange Scaffold are also among the speakers announced for this year’s program.
One of the big sessions will come from the Australian studio Beethoven & Dinosaur, with several members of the team presenting a keynote that breaks down the development of Mixtape.
To mark GCAP’s 20th Anniversary, IGEA is also giving away 20 GCAP Assist tickets to help people from under-represented and marginalised communities within the Australian games industry.
Tickets for GCAP 2026 are now on sale, with GCAP 2026 running October 5-7 during Melbourne International Games Week.
