‘Groundhog Day’ Is Getting A PSVR Sequel

We are getting a sequel to the 1993 film Groundhog Day in the form of a PSVR experience from developer Tequila Works who previously did the The Invisible Hours. The game will be published by Sony Pictures Virtual Reality.
In the game, you’ll play as the son of Bill Murray’s character in the original game, Phil Connors Jr, who grew up in the shadow of his father but has now managed to get himself stuck in a time-loop while in Punxsutawney much like his father.
Tequila Works has built branching and various story paths that will sound like the game is being built for multiple playthrough’s.
For fans of Groundhog Day, this has the potential to be a fun and dark-comedy in the same style and teaser trailer sets that up well, which you can check out below.
