After rumours circulated all week, Valve has confirmed this morning on a brand new Twitter account that there is a new Half-Life game coming. Yes, you read that right.
No, it’s not Half-Life 3, or Half-Life 2: Chapter 3 or any variation of those. It’s called Half-Life: Alyx and, as the tweet states, it’s going to be the company’s flagship VR title.
We’re excited to unveil Half-Life: Alyx, our flagship VR game, this Thursday at 10am Pacific Time.
Can’t wait to share it with all of you! pic.twitter.com/BupFCxSrTw

Valve released their own VR headset in June of this year called the Index and although the thing is a powerhouse, it’s definitely on the high-end spectrum of VR gaming in both cost and accessibility word-wild. We currently don’t know if this Half-Life: Alyx will be exclusive to anyone VR platform, but it’s a possibility.
I’m sure fans will be disappointed if the game doesn’t come with a non-VR version reveal, but at this stage, any Half-Life is better than none, right?
The reveal is coming 5 AM AEDT on Friday so stay tuned for more.
