Halloween Killsis getting a theatrical and streaming release in the U.S, but as of writing, it looks like Australians will again be out of luck.

Deadline is reporting that Universal is now planning to release Halloween Kills in both theatres and the streaming service Peacock on October 15th in the states. The release date in Australia is currently set for October 28th, with no streaming or premium VOD planned.

While some studios are happy to release their films into the wild in Australia currently like Shang-Chi, others have chosen to delay their Australia release dates entirely until more cinemas open up. One example is Dune which recently got pushed in December, and even Malignant, which is out today in the U.S, both streaming and theatres, has an October release here in Australia.

If Halloween Kills isn’t being released on a streaming service in Australia (we don’t have Peacock), it’s not hard to wonder if it’ll be released here at all. Especially if NSW and greater parts of VIC are still in lockdown come later September, early October.
