Hollow Knight, the debut game from South Australia team, Team Cherry, has had a stellar 2018 with the release of their game on the Switch. 2019 looks to be just as good for the team. A partnership with Skybound Games will see Hollow Knight published and released by Skybound with a physical edition for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
The news comes via Variety who have confirmed Hollow Knight for a planned Spring 2019 release.
CEO of Skybound Games, Ian Howe had this to say:
“’Hollow Knight’ and’ Death’s Gambi’t represent the very best of independent game development. I’m thrilled to partner with Team Cherry, and Adult Swim and White Rabbit to bring them to retail.”
Most recently Skybound Games published the physical and collectors edition for Slime Rancher. So the potential for a great collectors edition for Hollow Knight is there.
