HBO’s House of The Dragon will return for its second season in 2024.

Warner Bros. Discovery has confirmed that the second season of the Game of Thrones spin-off, House of the Dragon, will return in early Winter 2024 in Australia.

The prequel series, set 172 years before the events of Game of Thrones, will see its second season consist of only eight episodes, compared to the ten in the first season.

It’s understood that Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno and Rhys Ifans will all be returning for the second season, which was able to film during the SAG-AFTRA strikes as it had a predominantly British cast, which were under Equity contracts, not SAG-AFTRA ones.
