Images of what the DualShock 5 could look like have surfaced as a patent was passed through a Japanese office earlier this week.

The story was originally reported by Video Games Chronicle and revealed that images of the new controller were made available online thanks to a patent. The images do look a lot like the DualShock 4, although with slight changes.

Most notably is the small microphone below what is currently the PS Home button, a feature that was teased by Mark Cerny in the Wired article a couple of months ago. This small mic will likely be used as a way to allow you to say things like “PlayStation save clip” and hopefully “PlayStation beat the damn boss in Bloodborne 2 because it’s too hard.”

Also, you can see at the top the USB Type-C connection that has already been confirmed.

It’s slightly bigger as a controller as well with a thicker centre. Not making it quite as big as an Xbox one Nintendo Pro controller, but noticeably #thick-er
