Another round of movie delays have arrived this time from Paramount Pictures, who’ve moved Top Gun: Maverick, Mission: Impossible 7 and Jackass Forever into 2022.

The news comes by way of Variety, who reports that Jackass Forever (October 21) has been pushed into February 4 2022, Top Gun: Maverick (November 18) pushed to May 27 2022, and Mission: Impossible 7 (May 26) pushed until September 30 2022.

None of these release date changes has been confirmed for Australia as of writing but expects that news to come soon.

The delays are, of course, caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and studios desire to make sure as large an audience can see their films as possible and in cinemas. With Paramount Pictures announcing these delays now, and Shang-Chi opening this weekend, I wouldn’t be surprised to see other studios follow suit with some delays of their own, depending on what Shang-Chi does at the box office.
