This morning JB Hi-Fi began letting customers known if they would be able to get their PS5 or Xbox Series X preorders on launch day.
We’ve seen two different versions of an SMS message that was delivered to customers who purchased the $50 ‘ticket’ to pick up either console.
The first seems to confirm that you’ll be able to pick-up your PS5 or Xbox Series X preorder on launch day as it reads:
“Name, your spot in the que for your PS5 Console pre-order is confirmed! We’ll SMS you soon with a link to pay your remaining console balance. Pay by Mastercard, Visa or Paypal. Gift Cards not accepted.”
The second message we’ve seen is telling customers that they’ll be getting their console around Christmas time. It reads like this:
“Hi Name, just a heads up that due to your place in the queue and stock limiations, unfortuantly you won’t get your Xbox Series X pre-order on release day. But, don’t worry, your spot is confirmed to get your console just before Christmas. We’ll SMS you soon with a link to pay your remaining console balance.
Obviously the first of these messages is the vaguest, but it seems to confirm you’re safe in knowing you’ll get your pre-order on release day.
Stay tuned for information as we learn it.
