I have used a variety of small portable speakers in my time, but not all of them live up to the labels. The portable speaker from JSAUX stands out with its quality and looks. Not only is it a great mini speaker to take with me, but it also features a pass-through wireless charger, which has been handy while I’m on the go.

I’ve been using the portable speaker for a while and enjoy it. It fits in my daily carry bag, and although it takes up a bit more space, the decent sound quality makes up for the slight inconvenience. The speaker also doubles as a magnetic holder, and I can use it to hold both my iPad and iPad mini on the reverse side of the magnetic mount. The pass-through connection makes charging my iPhone with just one cable easy, which keeps my desk clutter-free.

The speaker is just under eleven centimetres tall and produces a balanced range of deep, mid, and high sounds despite its small size. I have been using it to listen to music, podcasts, audiobooks, and movies, and it has performed exceptionally well across the board. While I also own a similarly sized Phillips speaker that boasts greater depth for bass, it struggles in the mid-section. Having a device that offers a well-rounded range of sound is a pleasant change.

The speaker has four buttons on the side, and each button serves dual functions. The first two buttons are for volume control and track selection, while the third is for play/pause answering/hanging up calls. The last button turns the speaker on or off. The charging port is located beneath the buttons, and an indicator light shows the charging status. The speaker comes in two colours, pink and black and features a built-in microphone. The microphone received little to no use in my testing, but when I did try it, the audio was adequate at best. The casing has a pleasant texture, and the speaker grill has a unique mesh appearance. Although the plastic casing may get scuffed, the surface finish obscures any signs of wear and tear.

The speaker is an excellent addition to my travel bag; its diminutive size and round shape only occupy a little room. The sound quality is a nice balance from low to high and functions well for all the purposes I use it for.
