4A Games has shown off gameplay for Metro 2039 during last week’s Xbox Games Showcase, offering a deeper look at the upcoming entry in the Metro series.
The new trailer features nearly three minutes of in-game footage and introduces Hunter, the new ruler of the Metro and the new game’s primary antagonist.

Metro 2039 follows a new protagonist, The Stranger, as the series puts you in the shoes of a new lead. You’ll play as The Stranger as he embarks on a mission to bring down ‘Hunter,’ a once-revered Spartan Ranger.
Metro 2039 is set to release in February 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
