Mickey 17 is delayed until April 2025

PSA: Mickey 17 has been delayed.

When I went and watched Gladiator 2 in theatres last week, they played the trailer for Mickey 17. It’s a great trailer, and I enjoyed seeing it on the big screen. However, it appears the trailer being sent out to cinemas and the delay of the film from January to April 2025 hadn’t quite reached all mediums, as the trailer still ends with the January release date.

For the people a couple of rows behind me who said, “We’ll have to see that.” I hope you do, but it won’t be until April. I’m sorry the marketing lied to you.

The delay is apparently due to the upcoming Michael Jackson film moving its release date, allowing Warner Bros. to lock up the April release and secure IMAX screens.

As disappointing as it will be until April to watch it, this is a much better time to release the film and shows Warner Bros. is putting more faith in it than a late January release date, which seems more like throwing it to the wind.
