When the trailer for Scarlet Nexus started rolling during Friday morning’s Inside Xbox I thought it was for some anime I hadn’t heard of. It certainly looked weird, and stylish. But the moment I truly tilted my head in confusion was when a crocodile with what looks like a chain gun inside its mouth begun attacking out protagonist.
Monsters With Guns In Their Mouths & Creepy Flowers – Take A Look At Scarlet Nexus

Read this description about the enemies of the game that I found on the Xbox webpage for the game.
“Deranged mutants that descended from the sky, highly resistant to conventional attack methods and defences. Tormented by the constant pain of their mutation, they seek brains of living organisms to calm their madness.”
That is some dark messed up nonsense.
Anyway, Scarlet Nexus looks interesting, but we definitely could have used a better display of actual gameplay to understand what the combat system looks like in motion.
We know you play as Yuito Sumeragi, a new recruit to the OSF who’s learning to use his psychokinetic powers to battle these monsters from the sky.
The OSF seems to feature nothing but humans with special powers. But I’m intrigued to learn if they’re man-made powers, or ones they’re born with.
Scarlet Nexus will use Smart Delivery for Xbox.
The game is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. No release date has been announced yet.
