Netflix has announced they’ve acquired the Australian thriller Run Rabbit Run ahead of its Sundance 2023 world premiere. 

Not much is known about the film, but it follows a fertility doctor who believes in life after death but begins to notice strange behaviour in her daughter, leading her to challenge her values. Run Rabbit Run was filmed throughout Melbourne, regional Victoria and South Australia. 

Australian author Hannah Kent, known for Burial Rites and The Good People, penned the script. Australian director Daina Reid, whose previous work included directing episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale and Shining Girls, took the helm of the film. The film stars Sarah Snook (Succession), Lily LaTorre, Damon Herriman (Thai Cave Rescue) and Greta Scacchi (The Shepherd).
