The Meta Quest Gaming Showcase kicked off the June 2023 Non-E3 period, and it started with the reveal of a new VR headset and many upcoming games. Meta also announced that the Meta Quest 2 would be getting a price decrease, back to where it was before a price increase some months ago. Very weird, but that is what happened.
Here is everything that Meta announced at the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase 2023
Meta Quest 3
The third in the line of Meta Quest headsets will release on September 28th. The headset features higher resolution, more robust performance, Meta Reality technology, and a slimmer form factor, leading to better comfort, and the headset comes in a couple of different sizes, starting with a 128GB model.

No More Rainbows
As ‘Warden of the Underworld’ in No More Rainbows, you must defeat the cute and cheerful creatures invading the underworld. You can do this in all manner of ways, including roasting them over a BBQ.
No More Rainbows is out now.
Ghost Signal: A Stellaris Game – Fleet Expansion
An expansion to Ghost Signal: A Stellaris Game is out now, adding two new ships, the Iris and Pandora. Some more QOL updates being added include an autosave function, the ability to have multiple save files, and a “relaxed mode” for exploring the universe in peace.
Walkabout Mini Golf – Spring 2023 Update
The next update for Walkabout Mini Golf will add a course based on Journey to the Center of the Earth, and the course is out this week on June 9th.
A new series of upcoming courses for the mini-golf game were also revealed, with the “Evil Lairs” series featuring courses based on the popular tabletop game, Exploding Kittens. A pocket edition of Walkabout Golf will also be released later this year, featuring cross-play with the Meta Quest version of the game.
Onward – Update 1.11
Downpour Interactive revealed all the news on Onward’s latest update, patch 1.11, which will add two new people, improve the game’s overall fidelity, update animations, and a revamped shoot range.
Demeo Battles
Resolution Games is building upon its fantastic Demeo game, which lets you team up with others to complete tabletop dungeon crawling by introducing a PVP game. Either 1v1 or 2v2, the turn-based action will involve lots of planning and communication to succeed.
We Are One
Create loops of your own actions, and work with yourself to complete puzzles in this VR game.
This was a shadow drop and is out now on Meta Quest 2.
Powerwash Simulator VR
The relaxing vibes of washing objects that have taken the world by storm can now be down in VR when Power Wash Simulator VR is released later in 2023.
Death Game Hotel
From Deadly Premonition designer SWERY comes Death Game Hotel, which, unsurprisingly, looks a little bit weird. It looks like a visual novel but has parts of a card game and a trial.
Little Cities – Sandbox Update
A year after Little Cities’s release, the game is getting an update adding hand-tracking support, monumental attraction, little citizens themselves, and more.
Samba de Amigo
Shake your maracas in VR when SEGA’s original rhythm game comes to VR later this year.
Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire
Stealth is key in this single-player horror game, where you are trying to stake the vampires before they wake up.
I Expect You To Die 3: Cog in the Machine
The spy-puzzle and hijinks game is back and with more action with the evil Dr Zor back to put you through tests that will probably, cause you to die. But worry not, as it is a video game, and you can try again.
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord
The Ghostbusters have expanded their team out and now set up an HQ in San Francisco, where this game takes place. Either playing solo or with friends, you attempt to stop the villain Gustav Hookfaber and the ghouls and ghosts he’s unleashing on the city.
Underdogs
Jump into a mech and brawl it out with others in this arena brawler, which has 100+ items to attack the other enemies with, including a chainsaw and your own hand if you lose it and pick it back up to swing at foes.
Racket Club
Demeo developer Resolution Games has created a new “built for VR racket sport” in Racket Club. And if you ever get sick of either the single-player or playing games online, you can sit courtside, socialise and watch some of the action yourself.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice
Add another game in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe to your wishlist. This one is from Fast Travel Games, the team behind Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife, another game set in the ‘World of Darkness.’
Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice is releasing later this year.
Dungeons of Eternity
In this dungeon crawler, it is for eternity, as the name suggests. The dungeons are randomly generated, but thankfully you won’t have to explore on your own as you can team up with three friends to fight the enemies within and solve puzzles.
Dungeons of Eternity is releasing later this year.
The 7th Guest
In what seems like a first to me, The 7th Guest is a remake of a classic FMV game in VR. Of course, that changes a lot, but developer Vertigo Games is using volumetric video capture to recreate the storytelling of the original game.
Stranger Things VR
In Stranger Things VR, you’ll be playing as Venca, the series’ big villain, No, there’s no choice in this, so I’m sorry if you wanted to play as Eddy. However, it seems like the game will take place over the events of at least the show’s first few seasons.
NFL Pro Era
This year’s update to NFL Pro Era will add not only an expanded roster but also a bigger focus on multiplayer, new modes and features.
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable
Get ready to feel the full force of flying through the air with an ODM (omni-direction mobility) and fighting titans in this game based on the very popular anime and manga series. Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable will have both a single-player and a co-op mode, in subbed and dubbed audio.
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable is releasing later this year.
Bulletstorm VR
A Bulletstorm remake in VR might not have been on anyone’s bingo lists, but the game looks like it’ll make for a blast in VR.
Bulletstorm VR is releasing later this year.
Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR
Look for more information on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Nexus game during Ubisoft Forward on June 13th.
Arizona Sunshine 2
Announced during PlayStation’s Showcase a couple of weeks ago, Arizona Sunshine 2 is releasing later this year, and this time you’ll have a canine companion.
Asgard’s Wrath 2
The sequel to one of VR’s most beloved games is coming to both the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 2. In this sequel, you will be pursuing Loki across time and space, inside and outside of the Nine Realms. It sounds epic, and with a promise of over 60 hours of the game, it sounds like a big project for developer Sanzaru.
