We finally got the price for the PS5 alongside the reveal of some massive games and follow up trailers on PS5 exclusive we already knew about. The PS5 Showcase was pretty massive.
Here’s everything that was announced or show off during the PS5 Showcase.
Final Fantasy XVI
The Final Fantasy franchise is returning to its roots with a fantasy theme with crystals, magic, European kingdoms inspiration and, of course, Chocobos.
With the tagline “the legacy of the crystal has shaped out history for long,” there are many questions still to be answered.
The game is a console exclusive for PS5 and will also come to PC.
We got a fresh look at Miles’ special abilities and what makes him unique as a Spider-Man.
The trailer introduced The Tinkerer and their forces who are after some powerful crystal or something. Either way, it’s a very pretty display of colours and smooth Spider-Man gameplay.
Holiday 2020 release date. Maybe they’re still not sure if they can hit launch at Insomniac.
Oh boy, does the next Residen Evil just look creepy a-f or what?
You get Chris Redfield at the start again but then it turns to animation that I saw someone on Twitter (sorry, forgot who) say it reminded them of Coraline. And it appeared like the creepy “Whaddaya wanna buy?” guy is at the end from Resident Evil 4.
Another very stylish trailer for Deathloop that focused on two of the eight villains Colt must takedown in the game. Each appears to have their own special abilities, weaknesses and a private army.
The game may have been delayed into Q2 2021, but it’s still a fine look console exclusive for the PlayStation 5.
I didn’t play DMC 5 when it released but boy does this trailer make me wanna jump in. Especially since it appears the special edition features the much-loved original Dante that as missing from the original release of the game.
The remake of Demon’s Souls looks very good. This is a stunning rebirth of a much-loved game and one of the best looks at the capabilities of next-gen during this showcase.
The trailer says it’s not available on other consoles for a limited time but it’s also available on PC.
This is basically Sony’s answer to Game Pass, but it’s not another subscription services. It’s a collection of PS4 games that’ll be avaliable as part of your PS Plus subscription to play on your PS5 at launch
