PAX Australia will feature its largest-ever tabletop area, with Disney Lorcna as a centrepiece this year.

For fans of the Disney Lorcana TCG, you can head to the tabletop area to not only play the game with fans, new and old but there will also be some exclusives. Firstly, the Disney Store will be there, so expect that to be busy no matter what. Also, purchases over a certain price come with a ‘First Anniversary Disney Lorcana’ pin while stock lasts, of course.

“We’re extremely excited to bring Disney Lorcana to Australian fans this year,” said Will Chan, Disney Lorcana Sales and Marketing Manager at Modern Brands (exclusive ANZ distributor). “Whether you’re a Disney fan, new to TCGs or a fully-fledged Illumineer well-versed in questing for lore, our booth will have something for everyone. We look forward to bringing the community together to play, learn and share in celebrating this wonderful experience during the show!”

That isn’t the only trading card game at PAX this year, as Wizards of the Coast will also be there with Magic: The Gathering (who are also here with Dungeons & Dragons). Bandai is also showcasing One Piece, Dragon Ball Super, Digemon, and Sand Land in learn-to-play sessions and tournaments. Star Wars: Unlimited will also be at the show with an exclusive ‘Grogu’ event card.

Indie games are a highlight again, and a record number of six games that won the Indie Aus Showcase will be highlighted in the PAX Aus Rising section of the show floor. You can read all about those games in our wrap-up of the tabletop and digital games in the Indie Showcase here.

The new ‘Owlbear Theatre’ will also host the TTRPG—One Show Adventures throughout the weekend.

PAX Aus occurs on October 11-13 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Are you excited to check out any of the tabletop area games this year? Let me know in the comment section below.
