Perhaps the announcement with the coolest name and least amount of information relevant outside of the trailer from this morning’s State of Play is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection.
The collection features 13 games across 8-bit, 16-bit, Japanese versions and Arcade games and is being published by Konami and developed by Digital Eclipse, who have previously done other games collections of classics.
The collection is adding some modern quality of life features (rewinds and save anytime are called out) and extras like a game guide in the vein of ’80s and 90’s video game magazines. Nickelodeon are also involved and have provided imagery from the cartoon and comic books.
The list of games is below, and most importantly, this is coming to every platform, including the Nintendo Switch! I will go out on a limb proclaim that this game will be best played on the Switch.
