PlayStation has announced the release dates for the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore headsets, with pre-orders for the earbuds starting soon.
The Pulse Explore earbuds will be launching on December 6 in Australia. These are the first wireless earbuds to be released by Sony PlayStation, and they feature AI noise cancelling and a PS5-inspired charging case.
Pre-orders for the Pulse Explore earbuds start on November 9 through retailers like EB Games, JB Hi-Fi and more.
The ‘PlayStation Link USB Adapter’ included with the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore will also be purchasable on its own and available from December 6. This adapter lets you use the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore on your PC/Mac.
The Pulse Elite will be released on February 21, 2024. This is a premium headset that features both AI-enhanced noise rejection for background noise, a retractable boom mic and a charging hanger for when the headset isn’t in use. There’s yet to be pre-order information or date available for this.
Outside of being great for use with PlayStation Portal when that releases, the selling point on both these devices is the high-quality audio and design. Sony is riding on the audiophile fact that they’re using planar magnetic drivers, and apparently, they’re one of the first companies to do that in consumer earbuds.
Are you planning on picking up either of these when they’re available? Let me know in the comment section below.
