Announced back in February, we now know when we’ll be seeing the Pokémon anime series based in the Hisuian region.

I’m not sure if it was made apparent during the initial announcement, and I just missed it, but this series will be a part of The Pokémon Company’s recent Youtube exclusive series, not a fully-fledged or even limited-series anime. Those seem exclusive for only anime involving Ash Ketchum and his adventures.

Pokémon: Hisuian Snow will air on Pokémon TV and Youtube. The series is produced by WIT STUDIO, who has previously done Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us and Bubble on, which was just released on Netflix. The first episode launches on May 18th, and there will be three in total.

The story will focus on Alec and his encounter with a Hisuian Zorua in a world where kids are taught Pokémon and humans can’t live together, long before trainers and gyms are common.
