‘Pokémon Sword & Sheild’ Will Use Both Random & Visible Pokémon In The Wild

Although it wasn’t clear during the Pokémon Direct on Wednesday night how exactly Pokémon will appear in the Wild Area, the official Pokémon Twitter account has cleared up some details.

For those that wanted random Pokémon encounters like typical Pokémon games: you got it. For those that wanted Pokémon that appear visible in the open environment: you got it.

Pokémon Sword & Sheild will allow you to see Pokémon in the wild, when you run into them you will enter a battle where you can attempt to catch them. You will also see exclamation marks appear in wild grass which, if you choose to walk into them, will cause a random Pokémon to appear.

So we have the best of both worlds it appears!
