Raising Superheroes Documentary Trailer Released Ahead Of Australian Screenings

Australian filmmaker Shannon Harvey has released the official trailer for Raising Superheroes, a new documentary exploring how to prevent mental illness in young people before a crisis occurs.

The film follows Harvey as she travels the world, speaking with researchers, educators and community organisations about ways to improve children’s mental health.

The film also supports the 5% for Prevention campaign, which calls on the Australian Government to allocate 5% of federal mental health funding towards evidence-based prevention in the May 2027 Budget.

Raising Superheroes will screen in Sydney on October 21, Melbourne on October 27 and Brisbane on October 29. Free community screenings will be available until March 2027, with a seven-day free online release planned for November.
