I have previously reviewed one of SlimQ’s laptop chargers and found it to be a fantastic device, so when I had requirements for a 100w charger, I leapt on the chance when they were having a sale and grabbed one to cover my newfound needs. I am happy to say it has been a successful venture. I also purchased the extension cable and the international adapter to get the Australian plugs, as the base unit is US as standard.

After they received my order, I was surprised when, only about a week later, the items arrived at my door. I quickly replaced my current faulty charger with the SlimQ one. My first test was to use it with the JSAUX RGB Dock and my Steam Deck. From initial use to its current use, it has not dropped power or had any issues; I use it regularly to charge several devices, including my laptop, iPad, and phone. Even when utilising multiple devices, the minimum supply is 20w, which covers my main bases.

The device has saved me on several occasions, such as when my laptop wasn’t reading the ethernet or wirelessly and during my update to Windows 11. The small, compact size made it easy to pull from its current position, take it to the other room, and use it with a dock and cable to get power and data where needed. I have also found it small enough for travel when working. It is slim and fits in my bag, and the adaptors make it easy to plug into near or far outlets.

The small size but large power also means I get the charge needed and can leave my laptop’s larger charger at home when I do not need it for gaming—saving on weight and space.

This is a product that is cheap enough to warrant getting it over similar items on Amazon and has the functions needed as well. The ability to swap tips also makes it a great companion when travelling overseas. I know it would have served me well the last time I travelled.
