Stan has revealed that their Aussie Christmas movie for 2024, Nugget Is Dead: A Christmas Story, will debut on November 21.

In Nugget is Dead: A. Christmas Story, a young women is about to celebrate Christmas with her boyfriends upper-class and rich family, when an emergency with her families dog, Nugget, has her racing back home to make sure they’re okay.

This debut feature comes from writers and leads Vic Zerbst and Jenna Owen, who are most known for their comedy and sketch work on shows like The Feed. The two also have an ABC original series, Optics, arriving in 2025.

In the press release shared with the reveal trailer, Jenna Owen said:

“Nugget is Dead is partially a love letter to my family and my upbringing in Wollongong. Like so many of us know… when you make that move from your hometown to the city, you sometimes try to create a slick new version of yourself. This movie is about coming home, to your family, your dog, but also to who you really are.”

This is Stan’s fifth original Christmas movie, and as they continue each year, watching a Stan original seems to be becoming a Christmas tradition.
