After the PS5 Pro reveal event, PlayStation fans asked, “But where are the games?! ” Sony has stepped up to answer that with a State of Play that showcases games arriving over the next few months on both PS5 and PS VR2 and into the future.
Here’s all the trailers and news from the September 2024 State of Play
Astro Bot
Five new speedrun levels are coming to the game just in time for all of you to have wrapped up the Platinum Trophy. There are also going to be ten new bots to resume, seemingly based on the time you place in the levels.
This free DLC for Astro Bot is arriving later this year.
The Midnight Walk
From the creators of Lost in Random, this is a hand-crafted PS5/PS VR 2 game with all sorts of odd-looking creatures in a world that looks like you’re playing in stop-motion.
Hell Is Us
Continuing with the creepy vibes, the next game was hell, with Hell Is Us. It seems like it’s set in a post-apocalyptic event of some sort. It’s third-person action with some scary vibes.
Metro Awakening VR
The quality of the first VR games set in the Metro-universe looks like it has everything fans of the franchise would be after: monsters, subways, and guns.
Metro Awakening VR arrives on PS VR 2 on November 7.
ArchAge Chronicles
Previously titled ArcheAge 2, this is our new look at the upcoming online action RPG, which features large-scale raids and a lot of third-person combat.
ArchAge Chronicle is coming in 2025.
PalWorld
Nintendo may be suing Pocketpair, but PalWorld is also coming to PS5 today.
Lunar Remastered Collection
The remaster collection adds updated pixel art, HD animated cutscenes, English voice acting and the ability to pick between having those upgrades or not.
This collection contains Lunar: Silver Star Story & Lunar 2: Eternal Blue and is set to release in 2025.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge
The turtles are getting some DLC with ‘Radical Reptiles,’ which will add Mona Lisa and Mondo Gecko to the game.
This DLC is arriving today.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Here’s some brand new gameplay for Dragon Age: The Veilguard showcasing a battle against ‘Corius the Icetalon,’ an ice dragon. It looks good with fast third-person combat mixed in with moments of slowing down to trigger tactical abilities and attacks with your squad.

Remedy Entertainment announced that the second DLC for Alan Wake II, ‘The Lake House,‘ will arrive this October.
Hitman: World of Assassination
Become THE HITMAN yourself in this PS VR2 game arriving this December.

Fortnite
A Limited Edition DualSense controller will arrive later this year, and pre-orders start on October 3.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Unsurprisingly, there are a lot of enemies on the screen when you’re fighting in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, but this does look to be the most intense and large-scale entry in the franchise yet.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins will be released on January 17 2025.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Following a brand-new trailer, we now have a release date for the next Monster Hunter game.
Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on February 28, 2025.
Lego Horizon Adventures
This looks every bit like a Horizon and a Lego game. There are machines, and there are silly jokes. I’m all about it.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
This remaster aims to re-record over ten hours of conversations and bring them to the same “visual fidelity” as the sequel.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be released on October 31. Those who already own the game on PS4 can upgrade to the PS5 version for $9.99 USD.
Stellar Blade
A cross-over with Nier: Automata is coming to Stellar Blade later this year. And a photo mode is coming to the game. Plus, the original soundtrack is now available on streaming services.

- F1 24
- Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
- Resident Evil Village
- Resident Evil 4
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Ghost of Yotei
It’s not Ghost of Tsushima 2, and you’re not playing as Jin, either. In the reveal trailer for Ghost of Yotei, we’re introduced to a new Ghost named Atsu. And it makes perfect sense you’re not playing as Jin, as the trailer sets up this game, which takes place in 1603, around 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima.
