Streaming Charts: Everyone is watching Avatar at home & the cinema

JustWatch has revealed the most streamed movie and TV shows for the week of 12/12 – 18/12.

1.) Avatar

Predictably, the first Avatar shot out of nowhere to the top position the week Avatar: The Way of Water was released into cinemas. We watched it last month ahead of a spoilercast to prep-ourselves for watching the new film, and I’d guess everyone else is doing the exact same thing.

2.) Love Actually

It’s that time of the year. And I don’t mean Christmas; I mean Love Actually time. I’m constantly surprised people don’t sick of this movie, but I guess that’s why it is considered a Christmas classic. The movie did drop one position since last week.

3.) Everything Everywhere All At Once

Holding onto third place, the recent release of Everything Everywhere All At Once on Prime Video means this film will hold onto the top three position into the new year.

1.) The White Lotus

Holding onto the position for another week, everyone is binging The White Lotus.

The second season of The White Lotus continues to captivate, and given how good the finale is, it won’t be surprising when the third season shows up in the charts. If you haven’t watched The White Lotus yet, get on it.

2.) Colin From Accounts

A big surprise to see an original Australian Binge series drop into the top three last week and an even bigger surprise to see it overtake Wednesday this week.

3.) Wednesday

I’m surprised to see Wednesday drop and Colin From Accounts overtake it, but maybe everyone is finishing up their watches of the eight-episode first season. We know it’s done really well, however, and there will be more Wednesday on the way.
