In the weirdest way possible and with little fanfare, we have the first official word out of developer Rocksteady’s mouth in five years. The long rumoured Suicide Squad game is real and the full reveal is coming during the DC FanDome event on August 22nd.

The rumoured full title for the game is ‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.’ Presumably, the game will be targeting next-gen consoles, but we’ll find out all the details very soon.

The poster features a cross-hair on a Superman with an evil glint in his eye. Could he be infected with something? Could it be a Bizzaro Superman? Maybe something else entirely. Let’s not get lost theorising too much. We don’t have to wait much longer!

Warner Bros Montreal has also been long rumoured to have been working on another game in the Batman Arkham universe. It’s possible both could be revealed later this month. But we at least know we’ll be getting our first look at what Rocksteady has been working on since Batman: Arkham Knight.
