This weekend, Summer Game Fest is taking place over several days, kicking off with a major show hosted by Geoff Keighley and featuring several other showcases, including the IOI Showcase, the Xbox Showcase and more.

On the latest episode of Arcade Couch, we made our yearly predictions for the upcoming string of showcases, and, as always, it’s a mix of predictions that seem very likely and things that probably won’t be happening at all. And then there are the very slim ones that’ll take a lot of luck to come to fruition.

Ashley #1 – We are going to see IO Interactive’s Project 007

“We’ll get a full, proper trailer this time, a story trailer. And, I think James Bond will be facial mapped on a rather famous actor.”

[Editor’s note: After recording Arcade Couch, IO Interactive has announced the game is titled 007: First Light]

Ciaran #1 – Judas

“Including a release date in November 2025.”

Dylan #1 – New BioShock

“And I will laugh if the game is called something as ridiculous as BioShock: Return to Rapture.”

Ashley #2 – Elder Scrolls 6

“It’s now two years post-Starfield. It feels about time. We’re gonna get a trailer for Elder Scrolls 6.”

Ciaran #2 – Persona 4 Remake

“Including the fact that it’s going to be out day and date on Game Pass.”

Dylan #2 – Tomb Raider Reboot. Reboot. Reboot

“But this time, we’re not playing as young Lara from the start; they’re gonna do like, I don’t know how, if they’ll try and link it together. “

Ashley #3 – Splinter Cell Game

“The lights go black! Three green dots! And then, an image of the original version of Splinter Cell shows up.”

Ciaran #3 – AI Games

Throughout the Summer Games Fest, there will be at least four games that feature or rely heavily on AI in some form or another throughout the show.

Dylan #3 – Jurassic World Game Or DLC

I know it’s a very vague prediction, but I’m going to say either one of those. What are those games called? Park Evolution, like the others, maybe a DLC or a new one, I don’t know. Something like that. I’m just gonna go some Jurassic World is at Summer Game Fest because that new movie comes out when? July?

Ashley #4 – Ghost of Yotei

I think we’re going to get a Ghost of Yotai gameplay trailer, kind of showcasing how the new ghost differs in combat compared to Jin. And the Ghost of Yotai makes the most sense outside of it just being Death Stranding.

Ciaran #4 – Resident Evil 9

“I think the thing is, I’d like a Leon. Give me a Leon game, please. You know, or a Claire or like, you know, we’ve had a lot of Chris.”

Dylan #4 – Horizon Co-op

“They finally announced that long-rumoured Horizon: Zero Dawn co-op game.”

Ashley #5 – Prince of Persia: The Same of Time Remake

“It’s going to look good this time.”

Ciaran #5 – Witcher

“The announcement trailer for Witcher Remaster.”

Dylan #5 – Halo Comes To PlayStation

It’s inevitable now. So yeah. I mean, people will still go crazy. I’m looking forward to it.

Ashley #6 – Perfect Dark

“We’ll get a story trailer this time.”

Ciaran #6 – 2XKO

“We will get a release date trailer with the December release for 2XKO.”

Dylan #6 – Kingdom Hearts 4

“Kingdom Hearts 4 drops a new teaser trailer.”

Ashley #7 – Max Payne Remake

We get a Max Payne one or two remakes confirmed for 2025.

Ciaran #7 – Mass Effect 5

“The game will be announced with a proper trailer, not as a teaser like last time. Yeah. Shepard’s back, bitches.”

Dylan #7 – Assassin’s Creed Hexe

“This is the Assassin’s Creed game, where you play during the witch trials.”

Ashley #8 – Blade

“They’re going to show a trailer for a character reveal for Arcane Studios, Marvel’s Blade.”

Dylan #8 – Half-Life 3

Geoff Keighley was going to have the reveal of Half-Life: Alyx on Summer Game Fest the year it came out. However, at the last minute, just a couple of hours before the show, Valve pulled it from the show because they didn’t like the way it was demoed.
