‘Winter of Arcade’ Is Coming To Xbox One

by Dylan Blight

Announced at X018 today, the Summer/Winter (depending on where you live) of Arcade is finally returning to Xbox, but you’ll have to wait until The Game Awards show on December 6th to find out what the games are going to be.

If you don’t know, Summer of Arcade was an indie game promotion that Xbox ran, beginning in 2008 with games like Braid and Castle Crashers. The event ran year after year with games like LIMBO, Shadow Complex, Trials HD, Bastion, From Dust, Dust: An Elysian Tale and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons all coming out of the Arcade event. The event hasn’t run since 2013 however, with Xbox in the past saying the days when running a Summer of Arcade are over… well, not anymore.

It’ll be exciting to see what games are apart of the lineup and if Xbox has any changes or big plans for Summer of Arcade in the future. Stay tuned to The Game Awards for now.
