If the sales and success of Terrifier 2 didn’t all but confirm it, a third film in the horror series from writer-director Damien Leone is on the way, with a slightly bigger budget.

As reported by Deadline, the third films plot is being kept secretive, but David Howard Thorton, the man who plays the horrific Art The Clown, and Lauren LaVera, the heroine of the franchise Sienna, are both expected to, unsurprisingly, return for the third film.

Terrifier 2 was made for around $250,000 and made a return of over $15 million at the global box office. Terrifier 3 will reportedly get a significant budget increase to a 7-figure sum but has proven there is an audience for Art and his sadistic nature.

Terrifier, Terrifier 2 and All Hallow’s Eve are coming to Shudder Australia this month.
