Nominees for The Game Awards 2023 have been revealed, and community voting is now live.

This year, nominees have mostly been met with positivity. Still, the crux of negative discussion has been focused on Dave the Diver being nominated for ‘Best Independent Game,’ even though its developer MINTROCKET is a subsidiary of NEXON, a billion-dollar company. Final Fantasy XVI, missing from the ‘Game of the Year’ category, has also rubbed some people the wrong way.

However, by heading over to The Game Awards website and voting, you can have some say in how things go. Judges get about 90% off the weighted vote, with 10% of the community vote, which can be the tie-breaker when things come down to it.
