The cast of HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us has so far chosen not to re-cast actors in their roles as much as some fans with Troy Baker was returning to play Joel. However, that changes as the show has now cast a member of the game’s cast in the same role for the series.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Merle Dandridge, who voiced Marlene in both of The Last of Us games, will reprise her Marlene in the upcoming HBO series.

In the game, Marlene is the head of the Fireflies, a resistance group that is still intent on finding a cure for the virus, which has wiped out most of humanity.

Dandridge joins Pedro Pascal (Joel), Bella Ramsey (Ellie) and Gabriel Luna (Tommy) as part of the core cast for HBO’s upcoming series.
