The God of War series that Sony Pictures has been working on with Amazon MGM Studios for Prime Video is starting again, with the showrunners and producers leaving the project.

Rafe Judkins was set as the showrunner for Prime Video’s God of War series, but Deadline is now reporting that he’s left the project. Judkins previously worked as the showrunner for The Wheel of Time and was a producer on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Executive Producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus have also reportedly left the project even after having completed work on multiple scripts for the show’s first season.

The cause of the three leaves is reportedly a change of creative direction from the studios, although Deadline reports that both Sony and Prime praised the “trio’s scripts.”

It’s an odd time for projects based on Sony video games, as the Horizon Zero Dawn Netflix series was also recently cancelled. However, The Last of Us—Season 2 is still on its way early next year for those seeking a series based on PlayStation’s popular games.
