Ubisoft Forward for Summer Game Fest 2024 this morning delivered lengthy looks at Assassin’s Creed: Shadows and Star Wars: Outlaws while giving updates and teases for some other games.
Here are all the announcements and trailers from Ubisoft Forward.
Star Wars: Outlaws
In this gameplay video we see Kay Vess track down one of the games ‘Experts’ which are characters that Kay can gain new knowledge and skills from. The one she’s tracking in this particular section is a gunslinger that can teach her a Red Dead Redemption-like quick-draw.
We see Kay travel to Tattooine for this mission and jump onto her speeder to track down some information at a base in the desert sands. There’s some quick combat, but the gameplay focuses on the world and mission structure.
Ubisoft and Massive also released a new overview trailer alongside the gameplay video.
Star Wars: Outlaws is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on August 30.
XDEFIANT
Next up was a quick look at what’s to come in Ubisoft’s recently released FPS multiplayer shooter, XDEFIANT. Season 1 – GSK starts on July 2, adding a new faction, three new weapons, a new map each month of the season, and a Capture the Flag mode. A full reveal on Ubisoft’s YouTube channel will come just a day early on July 1.
XEFIANT is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Skull & Bones
A lot of updates are still being worked on for Skull & Bones. The team is adding a new ship, ‘The Brig,’ a new monster, ‘The Megalodon—Lestari,’ and new festive events, all of which will kick off soon. Requested features like fleet management and new solo and PVE modes are also coming soon.
The third season of the game, titled ‘Into the Dragon’s Wake,’ will also add a 5v5 PVP mode.
Skull and Bones is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

It’s the 35th Anniversary of Prince of Persia, and we’ve had some good game releases this year to celebrate that, with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and, recently, The Rogue Prince of Persia, both of which are getting more content.
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is getting a free content update today that adds ‘Divine Trials,’ new amulets, platforming challenges, and the ability to revisit boss fights. A new story DLC, ‘ Mask of Darkness, ‘ is also coming in September.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
- The Rogue Prince of Persia is adding a new biome in ‘The Temple of Fire’ update, which is out now.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows
An extended gameplay demo showcased Naoe’s stealth style and the hard-hitting Samurai Yasuke’s, and it seems players will have control over some, if not all, of the choices regarding who does what mission in the game. Yasuke starts the demo by heading into the town and fighting in broad daylight, while Naoe heads into the castle to assassinate the daimyo under the cover of the shadows.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is scheduled to release on November 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
