The Until Dawn movie from Sony Screen Gems is starting to take shape, with a release date locked into the books.
The film, based on the popular, recently remastered video game from Supermassive Games, will be released on April 25, 2025. In the film, a bunch of young adults end up being chased and tortured by someone and something while up on Blackwood Mountain. The game utilised a choice system in which players’ actions would affect who would live and who would die, so it’s unknown what line of storytelling the movie is going to take with so many options in the video game.
The film is directed by David F. Sandberg, with a script from Gary Dauberman and Blair Butler.
Until Dawn stars Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, Belmont Cameli, Odessa A’zion, Maia Mitchell and Peter Stormare, who is returning to play the same character that he played in the video game.
