Shudder has released a new trailer for the horror-comedy Scare Me which stars Josh Ruben, Aya Cash and Chris Redd. The film is also written and directed by Ruben.

The trailer is rather weird, but the film is obviously meant to be weird. It reminds me of a Duplass brother horror film, except they’re not involved. 

Ruben and Cash star as two writers who get stuck out in the middle of nowhere with no power. With nothing to do they take to telling scary stories to entertain one another, and seemingly one-up each others haunting tales. The trailer teases that things take a turn for the worse with either the stories coming to life or one of the two writers turning the night violent.
