Women-Led, Latin American and Southeast Asia Showcases Join Summer Game Fest

Three more showcases have been announced for later this week as part of Summer Game Fest: the Women-Led Games Showcase, the Latin American Games Showcase, and the Southeast Asian Games Showcase.

The Women-Led Games Showcase will feature 39 games from studios led by women or major women-led studios. Last year’s Summer Game Fest showcase featured games like A Star Named EOS, Mexico, 1921: A Deep Slumber, Phoenix Springs and more.

This year’s showcase will feature two games we are aware of: Woodo, a 3D colouring book that has been in the showcase before, and Void Martyrs, a surreal horror game.

The Latin American Games Showcase will feature 59 games, highlighting titles from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Costa Rica, Uruguay, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and Colombia. Last year’s Summer Games Fest Showcase featured games, including the reveal of Mariachi Legends, Astral Rot, and more.

This year, the show has confirmed two games so far: Neverway from Brazil, a horror-life-sim, and Tormented Souls 2, coming from Chile, which is a sequel to the first survival horror game.

Finally, the Southeast Asia Game Showcase, its first time as part of Summer Game Fest, will feature over 40 games from  Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia.

The team has also teased details on two games that’ll be featured in the showcase: Coffee Talk Tokyo, the third entry in the coffee-brewing and talking-sim series, and Cat Quest III, which may include DLC or other content.
