Samus is making a return with the release of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond on Nintendo Switch 2 in December, the last big IP release of the year, and the last game from Nintendo for the year. Across all platforms, two games that should hit different audiences are Skate Story, where you’re skating through the Underworld, and Marvel Cosmic Invasion, which sees 15 Marvel heroes team up to take on Annihilus in this beat-em-up from the team behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.
Here are all the major video games set to be released in December 2025, along with some smaller games we’re keeping an eye on and some exciting new tech and gear.
